RICHARD MARK REINGOLD

Richard is the founder of Quill Notaries. He is a qualified English notary and lawyer and member of The Notaries Society and the Law Society of England and Wales. Richard gained a BSc in Economics from Southern Methodist University (Texas, USA) including a period studying at the London School of Economics. Richard has more recently received a Diploma in Mandarin from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and is well-versed in the needs of Chinese businesses operating internationally having travelled there significantly in 2012.

Richard has a wealth of legal, financial and commercial experience gained in the City of London, in Continental Europe and on Wall Street. Richard started his career on Wall Street in 1986 as an investment banker (in both corporate finance and sales and trading) and then qualified as an English lawyer in the mid-90’s specializing in advising financial institutions and telecoms companies. His legal career spanned working in Magic Circle firm Clifford Chance, as Head of Equity Legal and then Director of Structured Finance at Lehman Brothers followed by six years as European General Counsel and Senior Vice President of International Governmental Compliance of a leading multinational telecoms company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In this latter role, Richard was responsible as Company Secretary for all the international entities (approximately 50) of the NYSE company and was Director of offshore holding and operating companies. He provided strategic and commercial advice at Board level, conducted M&A transactions and had responsibility across Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean for international company formation and administration, tax, regulatory and compliance affairs and inter-company treasury affairs. In this role as Company Secretary/Director, Richard gained extensive experience client-side working with, and managing, a network of notaries across Europe and external financial, tax and legal advisors.

Richard’s unique combination of experience globally in financial markets and corporate/M&A transactions (gained both as a lawyer and investment banker) means he understands from the inside what businesses want and need from notarial services. This sets Quill Notaries apart and makes it a truly unique notary firm in the City.
